Get Involved
At Hems & Brims, we rely on the support of volunteers to help shape the next generation of Black creatives in the fashion industry. By joining our Spring/Fall 2026 cohort, you can make a direct impact as an Instructor, Group Session Leader, or Mentor.
Instructors are responsible for teaching foundational or technical courses, guiding students through key aspects of fashion education.
Group Session Leaders, who are exclusively alumni, facilitate collaborative group projects, where students work together to create fashion-related projects. Group Session Leaders help students apply their learning in a collaborative environment, fostering teamwork and skill development.
Mentors work one-on-one with students, offering guidance, support, and professional advice.
Your involvement helps us provide valuable learning opportunities and foster growth in a thriving community of aspiring fashion professionals. If you are dedicated to creating a more equitable future in fashion for Black talent, we invite you to apply and support us in achieving our mission.
